Welcome to miningdifferently.com, a collaborative space dedicated to looking at how dominating paradigms are creating today’s problems in the mining industry. Some paradigms are obvious on the surface while others are deeply embedded.
Let’s be clear. This isn’t a social media site to rant, bitch, or complain. It’s a place to appreciate that all business, technical, or social mindsets have good intentions at the beginning. Unfortunately, for some but not all, unintended negative consequences have emerged. Our aim is to understand what happened and why. Learn from the failures. And then offer a better solution.
